Tap & Spile - history

10-12 Gas Street has been a Grade II listed building since 1982.

The house was built near the canal in the early 19th century.

Stucco with a slate roof.

One of two properties on Gas Street and Gas Street Basin that is now home to the Tap & Spile Public House.

14 and 16 Gas Street has been a Grade II listed building since 1981.

Built in the early 19th century near the canal of brick.

The second of two properties on Gas Street that is now home to the Tap & Spile Public House.

This one is closest to the towpath entrance to Gas Street Basin.

By the spring of 2014, the Tap & Spile was under new ownership, and the pub was getting restored ahead of it reopening.

By the winter of 2014-15, the Tap & Spile was reopened, and was fully restored.
