In brief

The Pressworks is a stunning residential development of 48 one-and-two-bedroom apartments & a duplex mews house.

Built on the site of the former Pressworks, a Grade II listed gem that dates back to the 1800s, the building will be retained and converted into 3 centrepiece apartments, showcasing a fine example of history and contemporary design seamlessly combining to create a unique place.

The site's historic boundary wall and a rear unit will also be retained and converted to house a beautiful duplex mews house.

All unlisted extensions to the side of the listed building, and to its rear, are in the process of being demolished and will be replaced with modern 3-4 storey new builds containing projecting balconies & 44 one & two-bedroom flats. These will be elegantly set around a landscaped courtyard where the press from the historic build will be retained and displayed as a fabulous new feature. Upwards of fifty cycles will also be provided here.

7% of the scheme is to be made available for low-cost homeownership.
