Destination Star Trek has been held at the NEC a couple of times. MCM Birmingham Comic Con used to be about twice a year. All events like this have been cancelled due to the pandemic, and are instead going online on Zoom or Youtube.
DESTINATION STAR TREK EUROPE, OCTOBER 2016
This was held at the Birmingham NEC from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th October 2016 in Hall 4. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek. It was the first official Star Trek Convention to be held in Birmingham. Get your hand stamped so that you can enter and exit the hall as many times as you want to on the day of your visit. Destination Star Trek returned to The NEC in 2018 and 2019.

MCM BIRMINGHAM COMIC CON, NOVEMBER 2016
This comic book convention is usually held at the Birmingham NEC, twice a year, usually in March and November. The November 2016 Comic Con was held over the weekend of Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th November 2016, in Hall 5. Although you had to queue up and get your hand stamped in Hall 1.

BBC Gardeners World Live, June 2022
Technically not a convention, but celebrating the BBC's Centenary in 2022, there was a garden with a TARDIS from Doctor Who, and the Reliant Robin from Only Fools & Horses in The Floral Marquee (Hall 16). Halls 17 and 18 was also used by Gardeners World Live, as well as halls 19 and 20 for BBC Good Food Show Summer. Plus gardens and plants to buy outside.
