Did you know that the original steam engine that was once housed in this building is now at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan. The complex is actually called the Windmill End Pumping Station and was used to pump water from over 500ft below up to the canal. Did you know that the original steam engine that was once housed in this building is now at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan. The complex is actually called the Windmill End Pumping Station and was used to pump water from over 500ft below up to the canal. Here is a small photographic study of this very historic building in the Bumble Hole area of Netherton, Dudley.


One way to get to the Cobb's Engine House is from the south-side tow path off the Dudley Number Two Canal by the Cobb's Engine Bridge up a steep flight of steps just before the south entrance to the Netherton Tunnel...
