Where is the former Aston Manor Tramway Depot?

Aston Manor Tramway Depot is at 208-216 Witton Lane, Aston, Birmingham, B6 6QE

In brief

The tramway depot on Witton Lane was built in 1882 for the Borough of Aston Manor to house steam tram carriages, and was converted in 1904 to house double decker electric trams. The borough became part of Birmingham from 1911. And was used as a tram depot until 1949, then used to store and dismantle trams until 1953. Was the longest used tram depot in Birmingham. By the end of the 20th century the building was used as a car showroom, and in the first decade of the 21st century as Aston Manor Transport Museum (until it moved to Walsall in 2011). It has been a Grade II listed building since 2012. It's been the Majestic Conference & Banqueting Centre since around 2015.
