In brief

A public house on Raddlebarn Road in Selly Oak, run by Ember Inns called the Country Girl. It is close to the Worcester & Birmingham Canal, although you wouldn't be able to reach it from the canal at the nearby bridge, but from a nearby housing estate.

The Country Girl - details

While Bournville doesn't have any pubs, The Country Girl is the closest pub over the border in Selly Oak.

The Worcester & Birmingham Canal is nearby, but the Raddlebarn Road bridge does not have towpath access.

You would have to either leave the canal near Bournville Station at Mary Vale Road and walk Pershore Road, Hazelwell Street and Umberslade Road (via Stirchley).

Or get off the canal at Sturge Close, the walk via Elliott Road, Gleave Road, Escelie Way, Arkell Way, and onto Raddlebarn Road.

In winter 2011-12, there was a Winter Sale on. Buy one get one free on selected meals.

The winter sale at the time also had selected drinks at £2.49. This may not be the case ten years later.
