A traditional Victorian public house located on the corner of Corporation Street, Newton Street (formerly James Watt Street) and Dalton Street at the back. It dates to 1888, from the architect Charles J. Hodson. In the Steelhouse Conservation Area, closely located between the Birmingham Magistrate Courts and Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts. The pub might close down by the end of 2022.

The Crown - history and details
The Crown Inn was built in the year 1888 by the architect Charles J. Hodson, very French with tall canted bays.
By the 1960s, the public house was owned by Mitchells & Butlers.

By the early 21st century, The Crown was owned by the Stonegate Group, part of Great UK Pubs.
It is now between Corporation Street, Newton Street and Dalton Street. James Watt Street was cut off decades ago, but it's name remains opposite outside of Boston Tea Party.

There is the possibility that the Stonegate Group might close down The Crown on Corporation Street by the end of 2022.
