In brief
The former Great Western Railway opened a station building in 1863 as Small Heath and Sparkbrook on their mainline. It is located on Golden Hillock Road. The station used to have four platforms on two island platforms, but only one island platform is in use today. Used by trains on the Snow Hill Lines towards Birmingham Snow Hill from Leamington Spa (via Dorridge) and Stratford-upon-Avon (via Shirley) lines. The nearby A45 Small Heath Highway runs alongside the station and line.
